Catching a Jetstar flight soon? You might notice the cabin crew wearing a new uniform, with Jetstar today showing off redesigned uniforms for flight crews.
The new uniforms will worn by more than 5000 frontline Jetstar workers across Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Singapore later this year. They’ve been designed by Australian designer Genevieve Smart, who worked with a new colour palette to mark the beginning of a new era.
“The evolution from black to a dynamic blue and orange palette reflects Jetstar’s transformative journey over the past two decades,” Smart said in a statement today.
“The looks were intended to feel like pieces one might instinctively pack for a holiday, whether it’s a linen jacket and cotton chinos, a shirt dress, or a smart polo.”
You might see crews wearing one of three collections:
Stellar collection - Focused on the Jetstar star, this comes with an orange or blue blazer, and contemporary trousers or skirt with a classic cotton shirt
Horizon collection - Features a linen-look blazer, tailored shirt and classic and tapered pants
Pilot collection - A new, navy-coloured ‘sleek’ suit featuring a sharp modern cut
Jetstar will celebrate its 20th birthday in May. Just yesterday it announced a new route between Adelaide and the Whitsundays as it seeks to invest in changes to improve its flight performance and brand reputation.
