If you’re planning a trip to Perth, you might want to check out the newest hotel to open - the Courtyard by Marriott Murdoch.
Opening April 1, 2024 the 150 room modern hotel is located in Murdoch, around 10 minutes drive south of the Perth CBD. Perth’s international airport is situated 25 minutes away by car.
It’s the first Courtyard by Marriott hotel to open in Western Australia, and was built by property developer Hesperia. The brand targets business and leisure travellers, and there are now over 1,200 hotels across more than 60 countries.
The hotel is situated in the Murdoch Health and Knowledge precinct, which includes:
Fiona Stanley hospital
St John of God, Murdoch hospital
Murdoch University
What rooms are available?
The hotel features 150 rooms that range 28sqm to 56sqm. They range from guest rooms to suites, and include:
Guest Room (king or double beds)
Larger Guest Room with a corner view (king bed)
1 Bedroom Suite (king bed, upper level)
As you’d expect, all rooms are air-conditioned and non-smoking.
What facilities are available?
The hotel offers a range of facilities for both business and leisure travellers. For business travellers, there are conference and meeting room facilities. Most rooms have a desk and complimentary Wi-Fi access.
The Dampiera Library is a space available for small conferences or corporate groups. It includes:
Pre-function space
Meeting room with a balcony
Space for up to 40 people to have cocktails
Undercover parking is also available, although this may be paid in future.
Is there an on-site restaurant?
Yes! Called Substance Restaurant and Bar, it has space for up to 76 diners and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.
