Travelling out of Adelaide Airport soon? There’s a new valet service now available for flyers travelling out of Adelaide searching for a carpark.
How does it work?
Adelaide Airport parking often reaches full capacity during peak times, so using the valet service can make life easier. Parking can’t get any easier.
To use the valet service at the lowest cost, you can book a spot online before you head to the airport on the Adelaide Airport parking website. Alternatively, you can drive up to the valet section at the airport without a booking but this will likely cost more.
The valet parking is no longer tied to a particular airline. Any customer travelling to or from Adelaide Airport can use the service.
On your day of travel, drive up to the south end of the Adelaide Airport terminal. A valet attendant will greet you and take your keys. They’ll then park your car, while you head into the airport and check-in for your flight.
The service is available every day of the year, and operates from 4:30am until 11:30pm at night. This covers the first flight of the day until the last flight has arrived in the evening.
Approximately 270 vehicles can be parked at any given time. Adelaide Airport says that there are options available to “expand” this if demand exceeds supply.
How expensive is the valet parking at Adelaide Airport?
Adelaide Airport says prices will start from $85 for one day. The daily rate is reduced for longer bookings, with a seven day booking $345.
The price for staying for nine days ($245) is comparable with the short term indoor terminal car park ($244). The outdoor carpark remains the most cost-effective option, costing $143 for the same period of time.
It’s worth noting that booking online will likely net you a cheaper rate than drive-ups without a booking.
Who operates Adelaide Airport valet parking?
First Class Valet is now operating the Adelaide Airport valet parking service. They offer contracted valet services in various locations around Australia. According to their website, they “are the experts in valet solutions using the latest technology, with service that is seamless.”
Previously only Qantas customers had access to valet parking at Adelaide Airport. Qantas stopped operating the valet service in 2020.
Is Adelaide Airport adding more parking spaces?
Given parking at Adelaide Airport often reaches full capacity during peak travel periods, additional parking is being added.
If you don’t want to use the valet service, you’ll soon be able to use a new outdoor short-term carpark. Situated adjacent to the existing multi-storey short-term parking, the at-grade parking will help ease parking pressure until a permanent solution is found.
